Polyvinyl chloride (Polyvinyl chloride), abbreviated as PVC, is a polymer made by polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) in peroxide, azo compounds and other initiators, or under the action of light and heat in accordance with the mechanism of free radical polymerization reaction. Vinyl chloride homopolymer and vinyl chloride copolymer are collectively called vinyl chloride resin.
The molecular weight of industrially produced PVC is generally in the range of 50,000 to 110,000, with a large polydispersity, molecular weight increases with the decrease in polymerization temperature, no fixed melting point, 80 ~ 85 ℃ began to soften, 130 ℃ into a viscoelastic state, 160 ~ 180 ℃ began to change into a viscous flow state; good mechanical properties, tensile strength of 60MPa or so, the impact strength of 5 ~ 10kJ / m2; have an excellent dielectric properties. Excellent dielectric properties.
According to the different scope of application, PVC can be divided into: general-purpose PVC resin, high polymerization PVC resin, cross-linked PVC resin. General-purpose PVC resin is formed by the polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer under the action of initiator; high polymerization PVC resin refers to the vinyl chloride monomer polymerization system to join the chain growth agent polymerization of the resin; crosslinked PVC resin is in the vinyl chloride monomer polymerization system to join the vinyl chloride monomer polymerization system containing bis- and poly-alkene crosslinking agent polymerization of the resin.
PVC is used in a wide variety of products in a wide variety of industries: wire jackets, fiber optic jackets, shoes, handbags, bags, ornaments, signs and billboards, architectural upholstery, furniture, wall hangings, rollers, hoses, toys, curtains, roll-up doors, paramedical supplies, gloves, freshness paper for certain foods, certain fashions, and more.
